Rothschilds Atlas Moth Cocoons
Cocoons should be sprayed 1 - 2 times daily
Keep between 24 - 26°C
Hang cocoons upright so they are able to hang to stretch and open their wings after they emerge.
They will typically hatch after 1 - 2 months but hatching times can vary.
Once moths emerge they require no food due to them having incomplete moth parts.
If a male and female emerge at roughly the same time they will usually pair up without too much trouble. Eggs will then be laid around the enclosure. They can be transfered to a small pot or petri dish where they will hatch. The larvae will feed on Privet. Once grown the larvae will begin to spin cocoons made from leaves and silk.
